Christmas is coming to Hellenic Post!

On Thursday 4 November, Hellenic Post will start getting ready for this year’s festive season:

★ This is the 30th year that the special red postboxes will be appearing outside the country’s main post offices, and the entire Hellenic Post network is gearing up to receive – and reply to – the thousands of letters sent by both young and old to Father Christmas. To answer all your questions about what happens to these letters, we have created an interactive Christmas website.

★ So from 4 November, you can go to  to see videos telling you the right way to write your own letter in order to receive a surprise reply from Hellenic Post, this year written by much-loved children’s author Filippos Mandilaras. The site also has ready-made Christmas stationery, educational games, a location-finder for the nearest post office you can send your letter from, and other surprises. Especially for teachers, the site includes ideas and guidelines for using this Hellenic Post initiative in classrooms.

★ The same day sees the release of the CHRISTMAS 2021 Commemorative Set of Stamps, so that you will be able to post your Christmas greetings in good time. The pictures of young children singing carols in a traditional neighbourhood gives the stamps a nostalgic air. The Christmas range also includes First Day Covers, Numbered Albums and Souvenir Sheets, and Booklets of self-adhesive stamps. The stamps and other products were designed by Anthoula Lyga. Find the stamps and philatelic products at postal branches and the Hellenic Post e-shop here.

We are looking forward to receiving your letters and your feedback this year, as in previous years,

and wish everyone health and happiness!
