Hellenic Post is serving up some traditional Greek flavours in this year’s EUROMED special set of stamps, which is released on Monday, 20 July. These are stamps with a common theme issued each year by the Mediterranean countries in the Euromed Postal Community (EuroMed/PUMed), celebrating postal cooperation between countries and the strengthening of their historical and cultural ties through the promotion of philately.

This year's special EUROMED issue has the theme of “Traditional gastronomy in the Mediterranean” and invites us on a culinary tour of the participating countries. Greece’s offering includes traditional dishes with pure Mediterranean ingredients that are found in abundance in this country and are cooked in every Greek home.

For its participation in EUROMED 2020, Hellenic Post has prepared a feast of wild greens pie, octopus, lamb, and moussaka.

All the countries’ stamps are taking part in an online contest. Click on the link nd vote for the Greek entry! The contest ends on October 13.
