“GREECE 1821-2021 Oaths and Sacrifices for Liberty” A Commemorative Set of Stamps issued on 25th March
Τρίτη, 23 Μαρτίου 2021

Hellenic Post honours the dedication, heroism and self-sacrifice of those who fought in the Greek War of Independence with four historic works by four great artists in the Commemorative Set of Stamps“GREECE 1821-2021 Oaths and Sacrifices for  Liberty” which is being released on the country’s national day.

This is the second Commemorative Set of Stamps released by Hellenic Post in 2021 to mark the two hundredth anniversary of the 1821 Greek Revolution.

This is the first time ever that Hellenic Post will be releasing a set of stamps on National Day itself, while Athens Central Post Office on Omonia Square (100 Aiolou St) will open symbolically from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on 25th March, allowing customers to purchase the Commemorative Set and associated products before anyone else. It will also be possible to frank postal items with the Special Commemorative First Day of Issue Postmark and the Athens Central Post Office postmark dated 25th March 2021, thereby creating rare collectable items.

“GREECE 1821-2021 Oaths and Sacrifices for Liberty” breaks new ground in another way, too. The philatelic products in the set will be accompanied by a rich collection of corporate gifts. Gold- and silver-plated stamps, frames, a blown glass paperweights and luxury presentation cases with the Ships of the War of Independence are the ideal solution for timeless, original and collectable gifts.

Available by order.
