As Priority B’ can be considered any letters, greeting cards, invoices, bills and other items classified as letter mail where next-day delivery is not essential. Priority B’ mail is normally delivered on the third working day following posting (Χ+3). That is the reason this service can be concerned as the most cost-effective solution.

  • Both the Sender’s and Recipient’s address information should be fully and correctly recorded on the envelope (including Full name or Corporate Name - Address - Postcode & Area - Destination), as well as the indication “B”. The Hellenic Post cannot accept any responsibility for delays caused by incomplete address or where letter mails are not in accordance to our mail standards.
  • Priority B’ / Second Class mail with incorrect or missing Postcodes, regardless of the number of items posted shall be invoiced as First Class (Priority A) mail.
  • We regret to inform you that no compensation is provided for claims of lost items sent without using any of our Special Delivery Services.

 

Priority B’ postal items can be posted at all Hellenic Post access points, such as: Mailboxes, Post Branches, Rural Areas Distributors/Postmen or our Postal Agencies.

Postage fees for Priority B should be paid by:

As Priority A’ / First Class Mail, can be considered any letters, greeting cards, invoices, bills, brochures and generally all mail items which you wish to be delivered the next working day after posting (X+1).

  • Both the Sender’s and Recipient’s address information should be fully and correctly recorded on the envelope (including Full name or Corporate Name - Address - Postcode & Area - Destination), ensures the fast delivery of your letter mail. The Hellenic Post cannot accept any responsibility for delays caused by incomplete address or where letter mails are not in accordance to our mail standards.
  • We regret to inform you that no compensation is provided for claims of lost items sent without using any of our Special Delivery Services.

 

Priority A’ /First Class postal items can be posted at all Hellenic Post access points, such as: Mailboxes, Post Branches, Rural Areas Distributors/Postmen or our Postal Agencies.

  • In the case of bulk deposits, it is advisable to consult the Lettering Standardization and Classification Guide, or contact your nearest Store or Sales Department to ensure that your mail is standardized.
  • A’ and B’ Priority letter mail items can be tailored to your specific needs, as they can be sent in conjunction with some of the special delivery services (i.e. Tracking, Registered, Delivery to Customer, Cash on Delivery, Proof of Receipt etc.).

 

Special Delivery Services for Domestic Letter Mail

 

Both A’ and B’ Priority letter mail items can be adapted according to your specific needs and requirements, through our Special Delivery Services, as follows:

 

  1. Registered (RE): Letters where a Proof of Deposit/Posting is issued, while the Service is delivered to the Recipient by his signature or by the signature of an authorized person. Such items should necessarily bear on the front of the inscription a barcode label with the corresponding prefix (RE). They may be accompanied by a Proof of Delivery document. By the (RE) special delivery service would be posted both A’ & B’ Priority Letter Mail items.
  2. Delivery to Flatmate / Roommate (i.e. person living at the same address) (RE): the postal item can be delivered by the recipient’s flatmate or roommate. Such items should necessarily bear on the front of the inscription a barcode label and they are tracked from the time of deposit to the time of delivery.
  3. Cash on Delivery (RC): Letters that the value of their content must be paid upon receipt. Such letter mail items are accompanied by COD or postage receipts or payment receipts or bank checks, and a gross settlement indicating the amount to be paid by the recipient. Such items bear, as an additional feature, a label of “CASH ON DELIVERY” or handwritten label with the same indication. Above that label is mentioned the amount of the deposit to be paid by the recipient. By the specific special delivery service would be posted both A’ & B’ Priority Letter Mail items. 
  4.  Declared Value / Insured (VR): Letters tracked at all stages of their journey to ensure their valuable content as well as the assured/guaranteed delivery by their recipient. They also bear on the front of the inscription a label of “DECLARED VALUE / INSURED” or handwritten label with the same indication. In addition, such items are accompanied by a Free Proof of Delivery document. Only A’ Priority Letter Mail items can be sent as of a “Declared Value / Insured”.                                    
  5. Printed Proof of Delivery / Receipt: refers to a Written Receipt signed by the recipient, bearing the date of receipt and returned to the sender. Only Priority A’ and B’ letter mail items can be sent by the specific special service. By such a receipt may only be accompanied all traceable services, in particular: Registered, Declared Value / Insured, Cash On-Delivery, Delivery to Customer. Items with a Declared Value are accompanied by a “free of charge” proof of delivery Receipt.
  6. Tracking (TR & LL): Letters or Parcels where a Proof of Deposit is granted and are considered as simply traceable, that is, they are traced at a minimum upon receipt and delivery. Such items should necessarily bear on the front of the inscription a barcode label. Those items / letters are delivered by the Postman to the address listed without any signature to be required by the Recipient. We regret to inform you that no compensation is provided for claims of lost or fully damaged items. By the Tracking special delivery service both A’ & B’ Priority Letter Mail items would be posted.
