International Parcels

Parcels destined for abroad are sent by air or by a combination of ship, train, lorry, and airplane.

General features:

International parcels are divided into the following categories, depending on the speed of delivery and the charge levied:

  • First-class Parcels Priority: parcels sent by air and handled as priority items.
  • Second-class Parcels Economy: parcels sent with lower priority combining various means of transport (lorry, ship, and airplane), as the case may be.

International parcels in both categories (first- and second-class) are delivered to the recipient’s home.

International first- and second-class parcels can be posted from Hellenic Post branches and agencies.

Interconnect Premium (formerly EPG) International Parcels

These are international parcels with enhanced features replacing first-class parcelels in specific destinations/countries.

For more information on Interconnect Premium (formerly EPG) package destinations, click here.

It is recommended that parcels be properly and safely packed and that the details of both the sender and the recipient be written correctly and in full in Latin characters.

Weight: The maximum limit for standard parcels is 20 kg or 25 kg when their contents cannot be split up, provided the destination country accepts parcels of this weight.

Exceptionally, some countries accept a maximum weight limit of 10 kg.

NB: Bulky parcels can be sent if the destination country accepts parcels in these categories.

See the parcel price list for more information and the rates for the above services.

The provision or non-provision of an international service—and the particular terms of its provision—depend on the country of destination. For more information, consult the Special Services and Destinations Served tables.
