PostBox

ELTA PostBox, also known as "smart lockers," for easy and secure retrieval of your items 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At ELTA PostBox, you can receive:
  • Items you have ordered from Greece or abroad that do not include additional taxes and duties.
  • Items for which the mail carrier attempted delivery to your location, but you were not present.
To collect your package within two days, follow these steps:
  • Go to the ELTA PostBox you selected*
  • Enter the PIN you received from ELTA via SMS or Viber
  • Retrieve your package from the mailbox and close the locker
* For international items, the option to choose delivery from a "PostBox" depends on the processing time at ELTA

It's very easy. All ELTA PostBoxes open with a PIN code. Once your package is placed in a PostBox, you will receive an informative Viber or SMS message with the 6-digit PIN and the Google Maps location of the PostBox, so you know where your item is located. You can collect your package within 48 hours.

You choose what you wish to collect either by selecting it from the PostBox or by selecting in the message sent to you by ELTA via SMS/Viber that you wish to collect your item from the PostBox. In this case, by pressing the option "I want from PostBox," a list of available PostBox locations from which you can collect will appear, and you select the one that suits you.

This is the OTP (One-Time Password) code, and you need to enter it in the message for security reasons, in order for your selection to proceed.

In the message you received, you can select "Directions" and be guided to the map with the marker of the location. Additionally, all addresses of PostBox locations are referenced in the link provided above.

The maximum allowable dimensions for items to be delivered to a PostBox are L620mm x W360mm x H600mm, and weight up to 20 kilograms

No, delivery through ELTA PostBox does not incur additional charges for the recipient.

All ELTA PostBoxes, except those located at railway (METRO - ISAP) stations, operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Specifically for ELTA PostBoxes located at METRO & ISAP stations, the collection hours are as follows: Attiki, Monastiraki, Kallithea Stations: Daily 05:00 am - 00:30 am,

Omonia Station: Monday - Thursday & Sunday 04:40 am - 01:00 am, Friday - Saturday 04:40 am - 01:30 am.

From the moment you receive the relevant message via SMS/Viber that your package has been placed in a PostBox, you have 48 hours to collect it. After the 48-hour period, during ELTA's working hours, the package is removed from the PostBox and forwarded to the nearest ELTA store. In this case you receive further notification via SMS/Viber for collection from the store.

If the postman comes to your location and cannot find you, the item is returned to the nearest notification store and placed in the PostBox of the store. This way, you can collect it whenever you want, without waiting at the store.
